Join webinar with U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro for new polling on disproportionate impact from COVID-19 on Latinos in America

Findings highlight significant health, economic and schooling disparities for Latinos

NEW YORK, NY – On Friday, April 17 at 12:30 pm ET, SOMOS, the country’s largest physician-led health delivery network, and political research opinion firm Latino Decisions will release data from this year’s first in-depth national poll of solely Latinos living in America. U.S. Representative Joaquin Castro (TX-20) will headline the panel and speak about the importance of helping all Latinos during this pandemic. The survey asked Latino households questions about their health, social, economic and educational experiences in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, making it the most comprehensive look at the Latino community to date.

The findings clearly show the disproportionate economic and health impact Latinos are facing during the COVID-19 crisis. The poll gathered data from more than 1,200 Latino adults between April 7 and 12 and was conducted in both Spanish and English. U.S. Representative Joaquin Castro will discuss actions Congress must take to address the identified issues.

The findings will be discussed in a webinar Friday at 12:30pm. To RSVP for the events, please contact Mr. Robert Busweiler – [email protected] – 631.379.6454
