The Latino Decisions Tracking Poll was launched in 2010 during the midterm election and is the only on-going political tracking poll of Latino registered voters in the nation. In partnership with impreMedia, we will continue the poll through 2011 as Latino voters assess the new Congress, the President and the most important issues leading up to the 2012 presidential election.
On the first poll, to be released February 10th, Latinos were asked a series of questions about the economy, and current policies in Washington D.C. Among the results to be released on Thursday are:
__ Thinking about the current debate in Washington, D.C about addressing and improving the economy. How much do you think the public officials take into account economic issues of the Hispanic community when considering economic reforms? Very much, somewhat, Not too much, or not at all?
__ Thinking about the future of our economy, who do you trust more to make the right decisions and improve our economic conditions? Would you say you have more confidence in (rotate) President Obama and the Democrats, or the Republicans?
__ Due to the economy, a lot of people have said they had a hard time paying all their bills each month. Over the last year, was there ever a month that you were worried you might not have enough money to pay all your bills?
__ Even though it is a long time from now, thinking ahead to the November 2012 Presidential election, would you say you are more likely to vote for Democrat Barack Obama, or for the Republican challenger?
