The new Latino Decisions column by David R. Ayón, published on the Univision news website, discusses Latino voters’ attitudes towards the most likely Republican contenders for the 2016 presidencial nomination, based on the recent America’s Voice – Latino Decisions pre-electoral poll. Should they choose to run, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz are expected to announce their candidacies sometime after the midterm elections. Ayón argues that the coincidence in timing of the candidates’ campaign launches with the White House’s expected announcement of executive action on immigration will put these candidacies in a precarious position in relation to the Latino vote in 2016:
