NEW STATEWIDE POLL OF LATINOS REPORTS ISSUE PRIORITIES, VIEWS TOWARDS RACIAL JUSTICE MOVEMENT, ATTITUDES TOWARDS AFFIRMATIVE ACTION AND TAXES

WHAT: On Wednesday, September 2 at 9 A.M. PST, with less than 65 days until the election, calls for racial justice, a global pandemic and severe economic crisis, the Latino Community Foundation and Latino Decisions will release the results from a California statewide Latino voter survey conducted between August 7 and August 16.

This poll looked at California voters across the state and the issues that they worry about most this election cycle. With so much at stake in this election, ballot measures and ballot language will be an important part of how Californians vote. Our findings look at overall motivation of Latinos to participate in the election and how decisions voters are confronted with as to whether they will be voting in person during a pandemic or rely on mail-in-ballots will affect turnout.

This poll underscores the importance of the pandemic as well as how Latinos in the state look towards issues of racial injustice. Additionally, it highlights the challenges that are to come and the confusions that Latinos may face when seeking to cast their votes.
